Gaffer Job for a show on the DIY Network. Reality show where they remodel homes.
Shot on the Sony f3, AJA attached, with some zeiss primes and a sony zoom.
These grips were really efficient and nice.
This was a nice slider.
The easy lighting a reality show needs.

My trip to california
I recently embarked on a vacation to California where I stayed for five days at David O. Russels http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0751102/ house with him my cousin and his wife Holly Davis http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0204704/ . We went to all the local tourist spots but what me and my cousin did mostly was check out how things worked on a big budget feature film called "Silver Linings Playbook” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1045658/ the new David Russel film starring Robert Deniro, Jennifer Lawrence, and Bradley Cooper.
Here I networked with directors, music editors, music supervisors, set designers, editors, producers and got the phone number to a famous director of photography, Hoyte Van Hoytema (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0887227/) who I got to pick the brain of via phone call.
I also got to see the main office of Showtime Network and how to pitch a film went to an agents house and hung out with some celebrities.
Me, Elias, and Holly Davis in their home.

Raquel Castro’s Music Video Shoot Feat. Jaret Martino
Music video for Raquel Castro. Over at the Engine Room Audio at 42 Broadway. We used a “diner” set up, the rooftop, and inside the studio. I was AC, Grip & Electric. The Director was Roman Dent. We shot on the Sony F3.
Equipment we used was all rented from Abel Cine. Abel wound up leaving out two important pieces which made the Jib unusable. And they left out a spreader for the rubber dolly track which made it more difficult to do straight movements. We were able to run to my house and get a jib and we did a great job even though the odds were against us.
Sony F3
Our small set.
A couple lights
This is the dolly track. I have mixed feelings about it.
Spyder Dolly
This is just the bathroom... I really liked their sinks
Raquel and Jaret in the first set up.
Our little diner.
The director and Dp
The jib and dolly up in the studio.
Roman Dent getting some close ups.
Our lamp bounce.. the F3 was so low light and we didn’t have flags so we used some super unpowerful lights for a few tweaking up the lighting shots.

I didn’t take as many pictures as usual, we were constantly moving.

The Porto Jib that was fun to put together until the left out the pieces.

A crazy rig the gaffer made to a clip on light. Added barn doors.
