I recently embarked on a vacation to California where I stayed for five days at David O. We went to all the local tourist spots but what me and my cousin did mostly was check out how things worked on a big budget feature film called "Silver Linings Playbook” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1045658/ the new David Russel film starring Robert Deniro, Jennifer Lawrence, and Bradley Cooper.
Here I networked with directors, music editors, music supervisors, set designers, editors, producers and got the phone number to a famous director of photography, Hoyte Van Hoytema (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0887227/) who I got to pick the brain of via phone call.
I also got to see the main office of Showtime Network and how to pitch a film went to an agents house and hung out with some celebrities.
